    Friends of the Topsham Public Library Annual Meeting

    Join us for a quick business meeting, including elections, refreshments, and listen to a talk by The Telling Room. The Telling Room is a literary arts education nonprofit whose mission is to empower youth through writing and share their voices with the world. Focused on young writers ages 6 to 18, The Telling Room seeks to build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and provide real audiences for our students. Joined by a recent Telling Room author, Executive Director, Kristina Powell, will share more about the Telling Room's programs, publishing, and what youth are writing about right now. Open to the public.

    Regenerating Life Documentary Discussion

    Join local environmentalist, Jacquelyn Cressy, for a viewing and discussion of “Regenerating Life,” a powerful film that “takes an ecological approach to unpacking the social and environmental crises that confront us, shifting the prevailing climate change story, and offering new, attainable solutions.” This program will take place over three meetings: May 6, 13 and 20 at 1pm. Open to all, sign-up is required (covers all 3 meetings). Call or visit the library or email emma@topshamlibrary.org to register.

    The Topsham Sharing Table

    FREE PRODUCE from local farms for anyone who needs it. Help yourself to what you need and leave the rest for others. Organized by the Merrymeeting Gleaners, a project of the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program. Over the winter, the Sharing Table will be inside the library in the Crooker Gallery area.
