THE TOPSHAM PUBLIC LIBRARY

A window to our world

There's a community treasure in Topsham that thousands visit each year-- it's called the Topsham Public Library. Through our collection of books, videos, audiocassettes and CDs, and our fast Internet connection with free terminals, Topsham residents enjoy the benefits of larger facilities while maintaining the warmth and friendliness of a small community library. Don't be surprised if our friendly staff greets you on a first name basis after just a few visits. As you walk in, you may see a group of children exploring the books and maybe enjoying a storytime. A young professional may be checking news on-line. Seniors are often browsing our books-on-CD or lounging in a comfortable chair while enjoying a good read. We've come a long way since the Topsham Social Library was formed in 1803. We've taken great leaps since community spirited citizens gave birth to the Topsham Public library 1941. Since then, we have been the beneficiaries of many. Today, located in our new 13,000 square foot facility at 25 Foreside Road in Topsham, the Topsham library serves the community as a place to read, to learn, and to meet for all ages and interests. We hope to see you at the library very soon! The Topsham Public Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Contributions are tax deductible!
