Donations & Gifts
How to help the Topsham Public Library with your gifts and donations
Your donation to the Topsham Public Library is much appreciated and will quickly be put to good use, either to support our collections and programs, build the endowment, or to help furnish our new permanent home. As a community non-profit, both large and small donations make an impact.
The Library Building
The library design, a three clapboarded buildings joined together by high pitched roof lines, evokes a 19th century Shaker farmhouse.
Highlights of the 13,000 square foot interior include a large community meeting room designed to accommodate up to 150 people with a separate after-hour access: a mid-size conference room for small group meetings: three small meeting rooms ideally suited for literacy, tutoring or mentoring programs: a children’s wing with an attractive story circle: a young adult room and study area: an internet access area with ten computer workstations: a gallery/waiting area with comfortable seating; and a porch area for quiet reading in a park like setting.
The library is located in a residential area, a half a mile from the center of town, on a beautiful 10.5 acre site with meadows, woods, and frontage on the Androscoggin River.
Contributions of Books, Trusts, and In-Kind Donation
In the past Topsham citizens have contributed to the library by monetary contributions, memorial donations, living trusts, gifts of stock, or in-kind donations of services, equipment, and supplies.
